Project: “Making Territory, Tying up Ends.”

A multidisciplinary project that aims to focus attention on the work of the redeiras of the Costa da Morte and the rederas of the Asturian coast. The project aims to highlight the interdependence between the work of these women, fishing and the landscape and identity of the place, to highlight the value of their work and their struggle throughout their history, as well as to try to maintain and promote this craft that is becoming precarious and abandoned, despite all that has been claimed, because there are fewer and fewer people who decide to dedicate themselves to it and it ends up being outsourced.

The exhibition of their project “Hacer territorio atando cabos”, will take place this summer 2024, in the Sala 1 of the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto de Xixón, in the context of the cultural festival Arcu Atlánticu, which is usually attended by cultural personalities from other Atlantic regions, France, Ireland.
