Young people realising their dreams… At the Tara For Women Foundation, we work alongside women and young people from across the globe, supporting and empowering them to fulfil their personal and professional aspirations. That’s why we’ve joined forces with the Pablo Hortsmann Foundation to bring this beautiful project to life.
Our vision extends beyond merely acknowledging the importance of education; it translates into tangible actions to ensure that women and young people have access to the tools and resources they need for growth and development. The vulnerability of young people is a critical issue worldwide.
In some of the most disadvantaged areas, like Meki, Ethiopia, young people face significant challenges in accessing necessities such as food, education, and healthcare, where:

- 42% of the population lives below the poverty line ($1.9 per day).
- There are only 3 doctors per 100,000 inhabitants.
- 1 in 6 children dies before reaching the age of 5.
- 1 in 2 suffers from some form of malnutrition.

The Tara For Women Scholarship focuses on supporting 50 female high school and secondary school students in the village of Meki, Ethiopia. In doing so, we not only offer them the opportunity to access quality education but also provide them with the necessary tools to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Our aim, is to increase the enrollment rate in the Meki, Ethiopia area, complementing the efforts of the Ethiopian government rather than replacing them. By providing additional support, the foundation helps strengthen and expand the reach of existing educational programs, as well as those outlined in the Global Education Agenda 2030.
The social impact of our scholarship program aimed at supporting young female high school and secondary school students extends far beyond merely providing financial assistance. Its primary goal is to empower these students to reach their dreams, creating tangible opportunities that foster continuous development. In line with the 2030 agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our program directly addresses key areas that positively impact the community.
